Harry Hafferkamp


Meet Harry Hafferkamp, the only member of the band that makes his own guitars...

Harry, the icing on the ByrdBrains cake, was born in rural Ohio, raised in SoCal, and recently moved to the Portland, OR area, after 30 years in Florida. He is a guitar builder, inventor, and was a nuclear trained electrician on submarines in the Navy. His original songs have been on radio and TV, and he loves progressive rock as a side project with Portland’s Quadrivia.

Steve Winwood, Keith Emerson, Bill Bruford, Steve Morse, Jaco Pastorius

Fender, Gibson, Sunn, Godin, Roland, Zoom, EV, JBL

Harry joined the ByrdBrains in early 2009, and in doing so, has rounded out the combo quite nicely. Harry has been playing music since he was a pup, and when it comes to laying down the classic sounds of the Byrds, Harry's the man!

 

Inner thoughts:

I think that I will be adding some of my most famous original songs, and for sure, some amazing new guitar tones that will surely propel the ByrdBrains, and our sound, past 8 miles high.
